Cumpleaños

Hoy es mi cumpleaños. Cumplo 33. Todavía no he llegado al punto de quitarme años, sino todo lo contrario, creo que voy disfrutando más a medida que crezco. Soy inconformista por naturaleza y siempre tiendo a buscar el siguiente proyecto, la siguiente idea, aunque luego muchos se queden por el camino. Pero aun así, a día de hoy, me doy bastante por satisfecha. Como diría la gran Lina Morgan, estoy “agradecida y emocionada”, porque tengo dos hijos a los que me comería a besos y a los que quiero tanto que no tengo palabras para explicarlo, un marido más que estupendo al que adoro y que me inspira y apoya en cada nueva aventura, y familia y amigos que no me los merezco, porque me aguantan y más cerca o más lejos, siempre están ahí. A todos ellos, gracias.

Siempre se pueden pedir más cosas en la vida, por supuesto, como que Maya me hubiera dejado dormir hoy un poco más, en vez de enseñarme como se pone de rodillas en la cuna y da palmas con sus minimanos regordetas, riéndose a carcajadas de su madre, (o sea, yo misma). Y quizá así no tendría estas ojeras de mapache en mi día. Pero aun así, no puedo culparla por querer ser la primera en felicitarme.

Con este trocito de la tarta de tres chocolates que hicimos Enzo y yo ayer (la receta aquí, muy pronto), me despido por hoy, agradeciendo a todas las que me leéis, de corazón, ese tiempo que sacáis para leer y comentar los posts, ya sea en el blog o vía Instagram, whatsapp, mail, etc. Un año más, mil gracias. Volviendo a parafrasear a Lina, Agradecida y emocionada, solamente puedo decir, ¡gracias por venir! 

Today is my birthday. I am 33. I still remain saying my real age, I don´t really see a good reason why I shouldn’t, actually, I think the older I get, the most I enjoy life. I´m nonconformist, and I always try to look for the next idea to do, or the next project to work on, although most of them are left behind before even being started. Even with that in mind, I´m pretty satisfied with the result. As great vedette and actress Lina Morgan would say, and I apologize in advance because the literal translation is hideous, I am “thankful and thrilled”, because I have two kids I love so much I can´t find the words to explain it, a husband I adore, which inspires me and supports me in every new adventure, and family and friends that I don´t deserve, because they stand me, and either being closer or far away, they are always there. So to all of them, thank you!

You can always ask for more things, of course, as for instance it would have been lovely if Maya had let me sleep a little more, instead of showing me her capacity to stand over her knees on the crib, and clap her fatty little hands while laughing at her mother (that´s me). Maybe then I would not have this raccoon alike eye bags today. And after all I can blame her for wanting to be the first one to give her best wishes on my birthday.

So, with this little piece of the chocolate cake Enzo and I cooked yesterday, (recipe very soon here), I say my goodbyes for today, thanking with all my heart all of you who read me, who finds 5 minutes to read every new post up and reply on the blog, via Instagram, WhatsApp, mail or whatever. And paraphrasing Lina Morgan again, “thankful and thrilled, I just can say, thanks for coming!” Crap, it really sounds much better in Spanish.
